Avoid this book!

Normally Pearson produces a very well thought out book. This book is not well thought out and finding specific data or topics is nearly impossible. The reader is FORCED to read all the way through a chapter BEFORE realizing that what they are looking for isn't in that chapter! UGH! In a nutshell, AVOID!!

I am reading this book for a class I am taking at the University of Nebraska at Kearney. The authors makes strong arguments for the importance of equalizing education for all students while providing tax relief to citizens. They do a terrific job of explaining the research behind education and economics while working through the complicated topic of school finance formulas. This book is not only relevant for school administrators in Nebraska, but for the average taxpayer across the country as well. I recommend this textbook to anyone who is interested in learning more about their taxes, government spending, and/or educational finance reform.

I enjoyed reading this book!

This was a required text for an educational leadership finance course I had to take for my master's program. I actually enjoyed reading this book, because it not only covers the financing of education, but also goes into the history of taxation in our country. I am so glad I ordered it as an e-book, because now I can refer back to it on my iPad anytime!
