About the Author
Shelley Swanson Sateren is the award-winning author of many children’s books. She has worked as a children’s book editor and in a children’s bookstore. Today, besides writing, Shelley works with elementary-school-aged children in various settings. She lives in Saint Paul, Minnesota, with her husband and two sons.
Deborah Melmon has worked as an illustrator for over 25 years. After graduating from Academy of Art University in San Francisco, she started her career illustrating covers for the Palo Alto Weekly newspaper. Since then, she has produced artwork for over twenty children’s books. Her artwork can also be found on giftwrap, greeting cards, and fabric. Deborah lives in Menlo Park, California, and shares her studio with an energetic Airedale Terrier named Mack.

Very cute story, well written and easy to comprehend

This is such a cute book! My 8 year old daughter had been reading the Hound Hotel books on a program that she uses at school and with Christmas around the corner that was one of her gift requests. One of the two that I purchased was this and it was a hit. I thought that it was very age appropriate. It's easy to read and understand. She spent the day reading this book to myself and her father. It was enjoyable! She is quite fond of the Hound Hotel book series and has requested the last two to complete her collection. I definitely would recommend this book. I purchased this book at full retail price and this review is based solely on my and my daughter's experience with the book.

I like it very much but some of the parts are just in there to kid like for me although I am actually nine I still liked it very much and you recommend yes.
