It's "the BOMB!"

I'll start by telling you that I was an after-school caregiver/tutor and a substitute teacher, before becoming a homeschooling mom. This is an excellent book! My son is 8 years old, but an advanced learner. I was so happy to find something that was for 4-5th grade because that's exactly where he's at with his studies! The everyday speed drills have really improved how quickly he performs multiplication problems, and because they're on every page: he PLANS-ON and ENJOYS testing himself everyday! And I'll admit: I have never been a math genius (yes, that means I've been the exact opposite! LOL), but even I've learned all the things I never understood when I was a kid trying to learn math! I love working out fractions!!
One warning: if your child answers something incorrectly according to the answers in back, you may want to work the problem out for yourself, just to be sure. I have found a few wrong answers in back, of which I've already emailed the publisher. But don't let that deter you: it's an excellent program and I can't wait to purchase other books from this series! Hmm..."Word Problems"...LOL

This is a workbook and not an instruction book.

I'm very disappointed in this purchase and will be returning it. This is strictly a problem workbook with an answer key. Any instruction or lesson material must be in the online videos available to purchasers. One reason I chose this book was that it had so many 5-star reviews. When I received it, I couldn't figure WHY there were so many 5-star reviews until I looked at the bottom of the title page where the publisher/author offers a free gift in exchange for a 5-star review. All those 5-star reviews influenced my decision to purchase and I feel misled.

Game changer for your child

This book is a game changer for your child. If you have one that is struggling it will get them up to standard and they will exceed it shortly. If they are really good with math they will then exceed current ability. This is a small investment that will give an huge return in your child ability as a math student. I really can't say enough as a parent with our oldest in 4th grade and having to relearn what he is learning. This book breaks it down for the both of you.

love your book!!

I thought I was already quite creative with re-crafting things into other useful things - but wow! so many awesome ideas - thank you! After a depressing day browsing a large department store, I decided to just visit a few charity shops instead and make christmas presents at home. I've already done the lampshade, the tie-pencil case and next up the sewing kit jam jar.... The lampshade is already up in our house and my husband thinks it's very stylish!

The best thing was that each of the items didn't take too long. Usually my craft-projects are weeks/months of planning and producing. But this book is a very refreshing and varied list of craft projects that can be done in a few hours, still with brilliant effect, and using the usual things most crafty person will have in the house anyway. The descriptions were simple to understand and the illustrations are just gorgeous!!!!

So this Christmas, gifts are either going to be handmade, or I'll be giving the buttonbag book itself!

Love it! This is a great workbook for a beginner in the field of Physical Therapy. It provides great descriptions and photos to explain various rehab techniques. I like the fact that the workbook gives you space to write things down - that save times and doesn't require you to have a bunch of 'sticky notes' in your workbook. Thanks again for a great resource.

This book has so many flaws. First, it may be the only book out there for PT Aide. So everyone has to purchase it. Editing is terrible,many mistakes all around the book. Very expensive ($150.00 new) but isn't worth more than $30.

The content of the book is good. I think I could learn a lot from it if I could get it downloaded onto my devices. It will not download onto my android or iPhone at all. I have to keep removing and downloading it to my laptops. It is ridiculous! I have never had this much trouble with any of the other books I have bought
If I would have known, I would have just bought the text book.

Ah! Young love

This is the author's first offering on Amazon Digital Services. She has written for Signet and Zebra historical romances in the past. The historical romance is a compromised marriage plot. I gave the novel 3 stars because it needs some editing. The fathers' names in the first chapters need correction. They were mislabeled more than once. Lord Chenmarth referred to Alessandra as "Chenmarth's youngest girl" and not Warring's youngest girl. To be clear, Geoffrey is the heir of Lord Chenmarth and Alessandra is Lord Warring's daughter. Otherwise, the grammar was good with only a typo or two and the story flowed. The sexual content was very mild. Geoffrey is only 23 to his wife's 18 so their immaturity worked well in a plot that had the newlyweds living with the bride's parents. However, there is a certain ick factor for the entire family knowing exactly when a marriage has been consummated. The secondary characters were perhaps the best part of the novel. The separated Lord and Lady Chenmarth needed a book of their own.

February 2015: The author reports that she has fixed the errors in the character names.

A clean sweet romance.

This is the second book from this author that I have read and I enjoyed both books. Due to a series of comical errors in the park, the H/h are forced to marry. This book basically shows the difficulties of adjustment and the growth of the couple, along with others in the book too. I enjoyed the read, there were times I laughed and times that I cried. It is a clean romance for those that would rather not have sex in a book. It is a quick, enjoyable read that I would recommend to anyone wanting a sweet romance.

A Sweet and Insightful Regency Romance

I've been downloading more than a few romance novels in the last few years, and felt dissatisfied with them. I had thought that it was perhaps the media--the difference between a paper book and an e-book. However, after reading Teresa DesJardien's A June Bride, I now realize it's because the others weren't of this quality.

The protagonists--Geoffrey and Alessandra--are young, without a solid model for married life, so they're trying their best--within the restrictions of early 19th century society--to figure out what they are supposed to do, and how to go deal with the unexpected directions their lives take. Ms. DesJardien writes with a kind and intimate understanding of these young people; their insecurities, their fears, and their growing maturity. Where other authors have protagonists who go into a snit at the least provocation, Geoffrey and Alessandra--in the midst of their worries--try to find the real explanation behind each other's behavior.

A June Bride is a sweet romance, appropriate for all ages. What makes this romance head and shoulders above others is the thoughtfulness in crafting the two protagonists--and the secondary characters as well--with a certain depth and wisdom that comes from an author who is dedicated to the art of storytelling.
